MOSCOW, February 13, 5:35 /ITAR-TASS/. An “entire medical empire” has been created for residents and guests of Russia’s Black Sea resort Sochi, which is hosting the 22nd Olympic Winter Games, Russian Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova said in an interview published in Thursday’s issue of the Rossiiskaya Gazeta daily.

She said she was heading a “standing medical headquarters at the Olympic Games.”

“Thirty-eight medical stations, three diagnostic centres and a number of pharmacies are working in the vicinity of competition venues,” she said.

“Apart from that, we have provided for mobile possibilities of medical assistance and overhauled specialized clinics,” she went on. “Three big state-of-the-art clinics were built in Dagomys and Krasnaya Polyana. A high technology surgical hospital was built in Sochi. A regional hospital in Krasnodar is also ready to offer its services.”

“To put it in a nutshell, it is an entire medical empire open for Sochi’s residents and guests,” she stressed.
