The Ministry of Health reported a reduction in mortality of able-bodied population of Russia

The mortality rate of the working population of Russia for the first half of 2015 decreased by 2.1 percent compared to the same period last year, according to Medportal, citing data from the Ministry of Health.

The death rate also declined for reasons such as diseases of the circulatory system (3.9 per cent), by tumors (2.1 percent), respiratory diseases (0.5 percent), tuberculosis (8.2 percent) and other causes (4.5 percent).

In July of this year, the death rate decreased by 4.7 percent compared to July 2014. Overall, between 2005 and 2015 the death rate of the working population in Russia declined by 35.3 percent. The total mortality in the country for the first half of 2015 grew by 2.8 percent.
