HemaCore Company’s device wins international design award

Trombodynamics Analyser produced by RUSNANO’s project company HemaCore and used for the blood coagulation system diagnosis has won the Red Dot Award in the Product Design category. German company WILDDESIGN developed the instrument design by order of HemaCore Company.

When working on the design, we attempted to reflect our innovation method, to make it user-friendly and, at the same time, adhere to usual forms, since medicine is very conservative, - the General Director of HemaCore Igor Pivovarov notes.

Red Dot Design Award is an authoritative award in design annually awarded by the Design Centre of North Rhine-Westphalia located in Essen, Germany. The prize is awarded in three categories: product design, communication design and concept design. This year, the contest received 4662 applications in 19 categories. Earlier winners in the Product Design category are such companies as Cisco, Pentax, Philips and Nikon. 

Award-winning works are exhibited in the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, which is the world's largest collection of modern design achievements. It has about 2K kinds of products on the area of more than 4K square meters. The Trombodynamics Analyser is exhibited in the Red Dot Design Museum until June 30, 2014.

The awarding ceremony will take place on July 1 in Essen.
