Over the past 6 years, the investments in the Russian pharmaceutical industry exceeded 120 billion rubles, said Sergey Tsyb, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, in an interview with Interfax at All-Russian Inter-University GxP Summit.

“Pharmaceutical industry is one of the most advanced and fast-growing sectors in the Russian economy. In the area of manufacturing, we are growing by more than 25% annually. This is largely due to the opening of new production facilities, including those involving the participation of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies,” said S. Tsyb.

He added that more than 120 billion rubles were invested in the Russian pharmaceutical industry during the past 6 years, more than 30 new production sites have been opened, including 7 with the participation of foreign capital.

“This demonstrates that the Russian pharmaceutical market has already become attractive, including for foreign investors. This market will remain attractive in the future,” said the Deputy Ministry of Industry and Trade.
