The output of pharmaceutical products in Russia grew by 12% over the year

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov. The Minister briefed Mr. Putin on the development of the real sector of the economy in 2017.

He said that, for several years, the pharmaceutical industry was demonstrating a steady growth of more than 10 percent a year due to the timely adopted Pharma 2020 program.

“In the past year, the output of pharmaceutical products increased by 12 percent. We reached a 84.6 percent share of Russian products in the list of vital and essential drugs. This year, in accordance with your Decree of 2012, we must reach a 90 percent share of Russian products. I am 100 percent convinced that we will demonstrate these results,” said Denis Manturov.
