St. Petersburg SEZ may receive seven new pharma production facilities in 2018

Seven new pharmaceutical enterprises will be established in Neudorf and Novoorlovskaya sites of St. Petersburg Special Economic Zone (SEZ) by the end of 2018.

This was announced by Dmitry Panov, acting Chairman of the Regional Association of Delovaya Rossiya, member of the staff office under the Governor of St. Petersburg for improving business performance, at the discussion club “Free Zone Battle: Best International Practices in the Management of Special Economic Zones” during the Yalta International Economic Forum (YIEF).

“St. Petersburg is the pharmaceutical capital of Russia, most pharmaceutical companies made perfect arrangements in Neudorf and Novoorlovskaya sites of St. Petersburg Special Economic Zones. Today, there are about 46 companies. In 2017, this generated for the city the revenues of more than 2.6 billion rubles. In 2018, we expect the opening of another seven production facilities there. In particular, this will include NPO Burevestnik, a division of ALROSA Group,” said Mr. Panov.
